Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Srinagar & Local Sightseeing
Upon arrival in Srinagar, meet our representative for assistance and transfer to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel and relax. Later, proceed for a visit to the world-famous Mughal Gardens, starting with Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasures) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). Next, visit the Shankaracharya Shiv Temple, Pari Mahal (Fairy’s Abode), Chashme Shahi, and explore the ancient city of Srinagar. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 02: Srinagar - Sonamarg (02 hrs drive, 98 km)
After breakfast, drive to Sonamarg, a stunning destination nestled in the Sindh Valley, at an altitude of 2690 meters above sea level. Known for its scenic beauty, Sonamarg is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, lush meadows, and alpine trees like sycamore, silver birch, fir, and pine. Less frequented by tourists, it offers a peaceful retreat and is the final stop on the Kashmir-Leh route. It is also the starting point for some fascinating treks to high-altitude Himalayan lakes. (Note: In Sonamarg, union vehicle and pony rides are to be paid directly.) In the evening, return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Srinagar to Gulmarg (Approx. 50 km / 1.5 hrs drive)
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Gulmarg, a popular destination discovered by the British in the 19th century. Known for its lush landscapes, Gulmarg lies in a pine-surrounded basin at the foot of the Pir Panjal Range, at an altitude of 2,730 meters. The valley, 3 km long and up to 1 km wide, is home to one of the highest golf courses in the world. It also transforms into a ski resort during winter. Upon arrival, enjoy a ride on the famous Gondola chairlift (please book online at your own cost).
Return to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04: Srinagar to Pahalgam (100 km / 2-3 hrs drive)
After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam. En route, visit the saffron fields of Pampore, the beautiful countryside, rice fields, the Bad Factory, Awantipora ruins, and Apple Valley. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 05: Pahalgam Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Pahalgam. Start with the serene Aru Valley, located 11 km from Pahalgam, offering stunning views of the Himalayas. Next, visit Betaab Valley, a popular Bollywood filming location surrounded by pine trees. This peaceful valley is the base camp for several adventure activities, including mountaineering. Later, take a trek to Chandanwari, the starting point for the Shri Amarnath Yatra, located about 16 km from Pahalgam. You’ll witness the transition from forests to alpine meadows. You can also enjoy a pony ride to visit Baisaran Valley, known as “Mini Switzerland.” (Pony rides and jeep rentals for Chandanwari, Betaab, or Aru Valley are to be paid directly.) Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06: Pahalgam to Srinagar (100 km / 2-3 hrs drive)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head back to Srinagar. Upon arrival, enjoy a one-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, taking in views of the vegetable markets floating on the water and the surrounding mountains reflected in the lake. Later, check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 07: Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Srinagar airport for your departure, with time to board your flight.
